Though a small town (14000inhabitants), Hexham is very lively with its lovely shops, its department stores, its many facilities (the Wentworth Centre, the Community Centre, the swimming pool, etc.) It is also very beautiful thanks to its historical monuments

The abbey
The market square and the Moot Hall

Hexham bridge

The park in the town center is a quiet and beautiful place.
You can see the abbey tower in the distance in the left picture.

1.The old building of Queen Elizabeth High School founded in 1599! The building dates back to the 19th century, of course but there are modern buildings in the school too.
2.  The view on Hexham from the school.
3. The pupils'room. This is where they can have a rest and a cup of tea between the lessons.

A small house in a small street.

There are some very nice pubs in Hexham
and some very pleasant gardens in the area.

As well as many beautiful places to visit.

This is Raby Castle
